To improve workers’ skills for the workplace, AWES created a series of materials and videos for workplace readiness and delivered 12 hours of integrated language, essential skills, and intercultural communication training to 47 CLB level 1-2 workers from five different organizations in the hospitality industry. Additionally, 101 language instructors received essential skills training, enabling them to link skills to language levels and use authentic workplace documents in lessons to better help newcomers.
