Building on the success of previous projects, AWES transferred a safety-training model developed for the manufacturing sector to the construction sector to create concrete, flexible and transferable programming. The result was a comprehensive approach to English for the Workforce development that integrated language and essential skills learning into the workplace. Three training resources were produced and piloted to respond to pressing skills needs in the industry and support immigrants and employers in the construction sector.
