This is an exciting opportunity for ESL professionals across Alberta to share their thoughts on the idea of a unified ESL curriculum. We encourage you to take the survey and share it with your colleagues and networks in the sector. The survey is open to all ESL professionals in Alberta. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and will be open until November 14, 2022. The earlier you complete the survey, the more chances you have to win a weekly prize. Once you complete the survey, you will also be eligible to enter the grand prize draw for a $500 gift card!
About the project
With funding from a Settlement, Integration and Language Projects (SILP) grant from the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Labour and Immigration, AWES has launched Phase 1 Research: Unifying ESL Curriculum in Alberta. The objective of this new project is to research Alberta’s ESL sector and explore ESL practitioners’ perspectives towards the idea of a unified ESL curriculum. Throughout the project, AWES will engage with stakeholders from across the province to learn more about the challenges instructors face, the use of Skills for Success and its place within language instruction, and the different approaches to program delivery which will ultimately provide better insight into the feasibility of a unified ESL curriculum that incorporates Skills for Success methodology.
