Guided Pathways is a fully funded national project that is equipping career practitioners with practical tools to integrate Skills for Success into practice to better assess clients’ skills and match clients to job opportunities that align with their skills strengths. Career practitioners who complete the four-week training course will increase their capacity to support clients and develop more effective pathways to employment. Our goal is to deliver this training to 1400 career practitioners across Canada, from which an estimated 700,000 workers will benefit. In 2022 we announced a new addition to the Guided Pathways project: the Social-Emotional Skills Assessment pilot. Graduates of Guided Pathways had the opportunity to join an exclusive pilot launched in partnership with RAD Science Solution, a research and assessment design organization. The pilot is testing a new assessment for social and emotional skills, such as problem-solving and adaptability. Participants gain practical experience assessing clients’ social-emotional skills and providing them with additional information that will help them toward their employment goals.
