Advancing to leadership positions can be challenging for newcomers to Canada. To address these challenges and fill a need for language-appropriate professional development resources, AWES developed and piloted a leadership training program to support immigrant workers transitioning into supervisory roles. The program covered critical concepts for leadership, such as communication, thinking skills, and workplace safety.
