Launching the First Cohort of Employ Ability!

We are excited to announce the launch of the first cohort for Employ Ability! This innovative project, developed in collaboration with Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC) and Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN), focuses on equipping employers with practical tools and strategies to recruit and retain people with disabilities. By tapping into this underutilized talent pool, employers can address workforce challenges and stay competitive in today’s labour market.

Employ Ability training supports businesses by making their workplace practices more accessible at every stage—from recruitment and hiring to onboarding, retention, and advancement. In addition to flexible online facilitated and self-paced training that fits into busy schedules, participating employers will also gain access to:

  • A Promising Practice for Hiring Inclusivity Guide with actionable strategies
  • A Community of Practice to exchange success stories and lessons with like-minded employers committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion

This initiative is implemented across Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario, giving employers in these provinces a unique opportunity to strengthen their workforce while promoting inclusivity.

We’re thrilled to be moving forward with this important work! If you want to learn more or explore how Employ Ability training can benefit your organization, reach out to us today. Let’s work together to create workplaces where everyone thrives!
