Newcomers often face barriers to accessing mainstream training for the workplace. AWES and Trajectory IQ Software (TIQ) digitized several essential skills, language, and intercultural resources to create Skills for Work, AWES’ first game-based training resource. Skills for Work is an online, 18-course platform geared towards CLB 3-8 learners. It is designed to develop essential skills, language, and knowledge of workplace culture and safety for stronger workplace attachment. Courses are fun, engaging, and can be completed anywhere, anytime for easy accessibility. Skills for Work has had over 450 users since July 2020 and is available for purchase.
